Carlota lives in an orphanage, and she has just found out that her new family will be coming to get her the next day. Carlota has trouble sleeping that night because she wonders what her new family will be like. What if they are a family of pastry chefs, or pirates, or astronauts, or maybe even tiger trainers. All of those families would be the best in the world! Carlota soon learns that her family doesn't do all of that exciting stuff, but they are just the perfect family for her.
