Dark of the Moon By Tracy Barrett Review By Christina Lewis
In the traditional myth of the Minotaur the Cretan Princess Ariadne falls in love with Theseus and helps him defeat her brother, the half-bull/half-human creature Minotaur. In return he marries her and takes her away from Crete, only to abandon her on the way back to Athens. But "Dark of the Moon" takes a different approach to the story. Ariadne is destined to become goddess of the moon, and knows she will lead a lonely life. But when a ship arrives one day carrying slaves from Athens, two of the passengers, Prokris and Theseus are plotting something that could change Ariadne's life and the island of Krete forever.
