Fellow Birds by Risha Age 9 As the sun showed it's first ray of light I told everybody it's time to take flight They asked me whether the adventure would be long I said it wouldn't be if we hum a nice little song Our destination is a very long flight to London The decision to go there was taken very sudden We reached there in two days, which seemed like two hours My friends thought to change time I had magical powers We settled down on an oak tree In a yard that was cat free The yard was filled with fruits Berries, leaves and roots We had a sumptuous dinner that day Although there were ants, we ate it anyway We made friends with a family of beaver They gave us fresh fish from the flowing river I love my new home, it's like a dream come true Go back to my old city, a job I will never do.

The Land also had a princes named Ashley. She is kind, caring and cares about other people. In another land called Cringle, They had a king, a very mean king. Cringle Also has a princess, and her name is Shelly. Shelly was also kind, caring and cared about other people. "What a wonderful castle" Shelly whispered to herself. "Look mother, there is a girl outside the castle, shall we help her?" Asked Ashley, looking out the glass window. "Yes we shall my darling Ashley." The Queen ran down the stairs. "Miss, would you like to come in?" Asked the Queen. "Yes I would, thank you." Said Shelly. "This is a wonderful castle" "Thank you very much." Ashley came down the stairs to meet Shelly. "Nice to see you miss.' Sailed Ashley. "you may call me Shelly." Nice to meet you Shelly," Sailed the the Queen. "Shelly, do you like dolls?" "Yes, I love dolls, they are my favorite thing to play with." They are my favorite too." Ashley and Shelly played for hours, Shelly knew she belonged here. My Friend Lisa By Alexis Age 10 One day my cousin and I rode our bikes together and we stopped along the way to get water. That's when we saw two horses, one chestnut Mama and one baby who was brown and white. I thought they were harmless so I touched the baby and it acted like it was a cat purring. Then I asked the baby, "What is your Name?" I knew she couldn't answer me but, she said, "My name is Lisa. Can you be my friend?" "Sure, we said." Lisa turned to her mother, "Mom can I go play with them?" "Of course you can; just don't go too far. Stay where I can see you," said the mother horse. Suddenly a man came over to the park with his dog and a rope and tried to get Lisa with it. Lisa neighed and she neighed but her neigh was so soft nobody could hear her. We all tried to stop him, even Lisa's mother but he was really strong. Then I remembered that I had my cell phone in my pocket so I called 911 and told the police, "a man is taking Lisa." They said, "we'll be right over." The police came in six minutes and arrested the man. They told him, "you are lucky that this is 2006, buster. A hundred years ago you could get hung for stealing a horse. Now you are going to jail where the food is really bad." Then he turned to us. "Thanks girls, we've been looking for this guy for a long time. Now he can show us where all the other horses he took are kept." Suddenly we heard a whine. We had forgotten about the horse thief's dog. At first we thought about calling animal control to come and pick him up but we decided not to. Instead, we gave it to somebody who would really care about him, a neighbor I knew who wanted a dog. The Rainy Days By Indigo Age 6 Once upon a time, there lived a girl named Jo. One day, Jo went out on a cloudy day. It started to rain and rain. Jo was mad, very mad. She was mad because she was going to play with her friend, Dan. Her friend Dan is a nice boy. Ever since Jo was two, Dan was there to help. The next day was rainy, too. “Rain, rain, rain,” mumbled Jo. “Why does it rain all the time?” Her mother told her that it doesn’t rain all the time. The next day was sunny! “Yeah!” Jo yelled. It was sunny! She ran out and went to Dan’s house! Knock, knock! “Who’s there?” “It’s Jo! It’s Jo!” Jo yelled. “It’s you!” Dan said surprised. And the two of them went to the park.
